Welcome to the Woldingham Lawn Tennis Club 2018 Season, Membership fees are now due as at 1st April.

2017/18 has been our most successful year yet, I am pleased to be able to summarise some of the highlights:
Membership has increased to an all time high of 290 members and this has led to even better participation at club nights and events, thus providing more varied playing opportunities for us all. The committee is keen to ensure that membership is controlled at a level where we have sufficient members to provide a good source of leisure and competitive tennis whilst at the same time retaining our enviable ability to "turn up and play" without an arduous booking policy.
The club’s events have gone very well with our successful Junior Christmas Party and Summer Open Day being very well received together with the collateral benefit of contributing to club funds. We will continue with our plans to improve all areas of the club, including court surfaces and clubhouse facilities and will give an update of these plans at the AGM on the 27th May. The club faces increasing overheads for the year ahead but with continued good fiscal management we are looking to implement the positive changes above.
I would like to express our sincere thanks to our great team of Committee Members and volunteers who give up their time to help run the club and we would appreciate and encourage more volunteers however small the commitment may be.
Thank you to our Captains and teams, including the A and B teams of Ladies, Men’s and Mixed doubles, all of whom have been representing Woldingham against local clubs. The Men’s A team having just been promoted to league one!
Finally we should be very proud of the development of the coaching program with over 120 juniors attending weekly lessons - it is great to see so many youngsters playing and enjoying their tennis and this is being spearheaded by our Head Coach Patrick Gorman supported by his enthusiastic coaching team.
Please note the Wimbledon Ballot will be drawn at 7.45pm on the 25th April in the clubhouse and we are pleased to say we have 16 pairs this year!
