🎾 WLTC - Inaugural  Sinnos Cup Tournament 🎾

We wanted to let you know that we are running a new special tennis event this year called the Sinnos Cup Tournament. This event is to say a big thank to John in recognition for all his hard work over the years for the club.
The date for your diary is Wednesday 3rdJuly at 6.30pm - the tennis matches will start promptly at 6.45pm.Â
The evening will start with a fun mixed doubles tennis competition for adult tennis members, followed by Pizza and Pimms and end with a presentation of the Sinnos Cup to the winning team.Â
The Tennis Competition format:
- An organised mixed doubles competition where in each round you will have a different tennis partner.Â
- Timed matches 20-minute rounds (approx.) Players play as many games as they can in the allotted time.
- No advantage scoring. If the score reaches deuce, it’s a sudden death point. The receiving team chooses which side to take the serve. A whistle will indicate ‘last game’ to be played.Â
- The winning lady and man will be decided initially on matches won; then the highest amount of games won; then on the head to head.
Patrick and Celia will be the organising the tennis matches on the evening.Â
How to enter:
Please would you email Celia on celiaedw@yahoo.co.ukto reserve your place well in advance as numbers are limited on the court to ensure quality of tennis for the evening, less waiting time and will be on a first come first serve basis.Â
Naturally you do not have to play tennis on the evening and are very welcome to watch the tennis and enjoy the social side of the evening.Â
If you would bring a bottle of wine with you it would be much appreciated!
