It may seem that the summer season is still a long way off with the dark evenings and cold weather, but we believe it's never too early to look ahead to the pinnacle of British tennis - the Wimbledon Championships! As a member of Woldingham Tennis Club, you may be aware that you get free British Tennis Membership, which includes entry into our annual Wimbledon Ballot. To be in with a chance of winning a pair of tickets, all you need to do is simply log into the LTA website https://www2.lta.org.uk/Login/ and 'opt-in', stating that you are a member of Woldingham Tennis Club. If you have any issues, you can call the LTA on 0208 4877000 for assistance.
With half term fast approaching, Head Coach, Adam Kohlbeck, will be running Junior Tennis Camps in February. All you need to do to book your child onto one of these high quality and enjoyable sessions is to contact Adam on adam88kohlbeck@gmail.com or 07880 491002, along with a completed registration form (attached).
As a thriving village Club, we get through a vast number of tennis balls. We've recently joined a ball recycling scheme to which we sell our old tennis balls that are no longer fit for play for 10p each, with the proceeds going back into buying new balls for the Club. If you have a stash of old tennis balls at home, we'd be happy to take them off your hands! Do let one of the committee members know if you have any old tennis balls you would like to donate.
We are also looking for new committee members and particularly volunteers who have DBS clearance. The Club AGM is taking place on Sunday 26th February, so if you have any ideas about how to improve the Club or would like to get involved, please get in touch with a committee member or email info@woldinghamtennisclub.co.uk before then.
Finally, we'd like to highlight the success of our men's doubles B Team and mixed doubles team, led by Philip Morris and Chris Jeffrey respectively, both teams excelled in the weald league competitions, congratulations to Philip, Chris the teams for their fantastic results!
